Mouse in the Manger
I’m Micah the Mouse – a Bethlehem mouse.
I live in a stable instead of a house.
I tell everyone of a bright starry night,
When I secretly witnessed an amazing sight!
Mouse In The Manger is the Christmas story told by Micah the mouse, who was hiding in the manger, and becomes a secret observer of the birth of Christ.
Micah came to the manger to look for grain, but the peace of his usually quiet nighttime meal was shattered by a startling series of events that kept him wide-eyed with curiosity. Micah shares in rhyme what he saw and heard from the donkey, shepherds, and camel.
Observations made by the animals, and touches of humor bring a new perspective to the real event written about in the Bible. The magic of rhythm and rhyme capture the imagination, and delight children and adults alike. Beautiful color illustrations bring the Christmas story to life.
A Study Guide at the end of the book with questions and answers, test comprehension and gives Biblical references. Parents and teachers can adapt to different age levels, and use the book as a tool to introduce children to Jesus.
